An original painting.
The feeling came to me right before the COVID19 pandemic hit Europe. Not a clear idea, just the urge to paint a bat. While doing my research on species for this piece I came upon articles about bats spreading several viruses potentially harmful to humans. And I saw the connection, so I named it Pandemic.
This painting was made in the spring of 2020. It is a small acrylic painting on a round canvas with beautiful dried plants in gold detailing.
